Pune - Aarogya Network is being rejuvenated and Team Aarogya celebrates at its every milestone with an activity that Links To Life! To mark the rejuvenation of aarogya.com, Team Aarogya visited Mamta Foundation on 24th June and enjoyed through the day, with the children living with HIV.
‘Mamta’ is a home to around 26 children and 5 women living with HIV, located at Gujar Nimbalkarwadi - a little remote, but serene place in Katraj valley. Most of the children are orphans or single-parent child. The HIV +ve women at Mamta are like mothers to all children (they call fondly them ‘Mummy’) and create a homely atmosphere here.
Mamta strives towards giving a quality of life to the HIV+ children and increase their overall life expectancy. Focus is on providing high protein diet, nutritional support and medical treatment to them. Besides, efforts are being taken to bring them in the mainstream by providing basic education, exposure to society and enabling social acceptance for them. We create an atmosphere of love, care, happiness and understanding for each child to ensure physical, emotional and overall development.
Team Aarogya had a day full of life and fun around with the children at Mamta - played games, tricks, laughed hard at their jokes and danced on item numbers. Lunch party was organized by Atul Bengeri (Director, T-Edge) and family to celebrate the birthday of their daughter, Pavni. As a token of love and affection, Team Aarogya gifted the Buddy Bears to the children, an activity supported by The Buddies Society of Ipoh, Malaysia.
The entire activity was facilitated by the founders of Mamta Foundation, Amar and Shilpa Budukh. Atul Bengeri, Ashish Dhavalikar, Akshay Joshi, Karuna Gojbare, Parag Yadav, Pritam Pangarkar, Pundlik Borse, Sandeep Bhakare, Sujit Bhandari, Uma Chondhe, Vrishali Shinde and Bengeri family were present.
