About 1,24,000 people die each year and more than three times as many are injured as a result of road accidents, says a recent World Health Organization report.
Considerable lives that can be saved if road accident victims receive emergency medical support and can be taken to hospitals as soon as possible. People present at the accident scene (Bystanders) should come ahead to help the accident victims by either taking them to the nearest hospital or calling for medical help.
But it is often observed that people are usually reluctant to come ahead to assist the accident victims, due to the fear of possible legal and procedural liabilities involved. Rather than helping the victims, some insensitive people just opt to click and upload photos on social media. Most of the people are ignorant about the traffic rules and follow wrong driving practices.
The film ‘Helping Hands’ is all about this. Besides creating awareness about the traffic rules, it gives in message to the people to come ahead, be Good Samaritans and help road accident victims.
